A bull or perhaps a yearling died a number of years ago and what remains are it’s bones, some of which are visible under the surface of the water. This Wednesday morning I awoke to inches of wet snow blanketing everything, and it continued to snow until early afternoon. But the earth is warm and the temperature rose so by late afternoon there were only patches of snow remaining. All of the rain we have been receiving the past few days, combined with today’s snowfall, has the little ditch that runs through the plum trees brimming with water. The green grass flanking it contrasts vividly with the fresh snow.
