CAIRNS hosted a special “Plains Experience” workshop for, from right to left,Phyllis, Jan, Fee, Ann, and Carol. They were a wonderful group. The workshop began on Thursday afternoon and ended after lunch on Saturday. The topic was Lakota history and culture. And though they were initially reluctant to do the “homework,” in the end they did an excellent job analyzing the course packet readings and presenting information from the beginning of the universe all the way up to the current reservations and tribes in South Dakota. Mom and I enjoyed this experience and look forward to offering similar workshops in the future.
