Six years ago this week, on August 31, 2005, the house was a long way from being enclosed. The ground floor was framed up and sheathed, but the cockpit and roofs weren’t even begun. The two 3-ply trusses atop of which the cockpit was built are in place, and the ceiling joists over the bedroom and bath can be seen. But no doors or windows were installed. Looking beyond the construction, the green color of the grass indicates that 2005 was a relatively wet summer.
