Wednesday afternoon it started snowing so i decided to tentatively lay out walking trails on the west side of the springs. North of the Frog Pond stumbled onto this skeleton of a infant raccoon that apparently was eaten by a coyote, and then regurgitated onto the ground. Strange, and a little eerie. Nearby was an empty Paint turtle carapace. In the foreground of the picture below my fresh track in the wet snow is clearly evident, as is an existing trail in the distant background winding up the ridge toward the house.
