That is Dan hamming it up in this February 11, 2006 photo from the archive. He is hanging on one of the two steel reinforcing frames that cousin Glenn welded for the bay bed. The frames are lag-screwed horizontally onto the house wall, and vertically into the bottom chords of rafters. In the background is the travel trailer where i bunked until moving into the house that summer of 2006. The photo below shows the floor joists installed. This small cantilevered space is called a bay bed because it initially was my bedroom for a few years, and still functions as such at times.
