Created this stone circle Wednesday afternoon. The steel stake in its center sits directly atop the west-east Wingsprings axis. The circle is a short distance west of 226th Avenue and just north of the road from the 226th Ave gate to Wingsprings. The intent is that visitors to Wingsprings will bring a rock and leave it in the circle. Eventually the area within the circle will be covered with rocks. Then we will begin to stack additional rocks, creating a cairn that marks the Wingsprings west-east axis. So the next time you visit Wingsprings, please bring a rock and leave it in the circle.
