Winter solstice late afternoon as a gaggle of geese line out southward. Seems they are a little late in flying toward warmer climes. This afternoon’s sunset is the northernmost point of the sun’s arc along the western horizon. Today it pauses, then tomorrow it begins its southerly trek along the horizon until the summer solstice.
