Clear cold day. Yesterday afternoon it was in the 60s, then suddenly dropped almost 30 degrees in an hour. Over a 12 hour period the temperature plunged to lower single digits overnight. The high today was 12 degrees. The small stand of cattails above are like an outpost. The closest cattails are over a quarter mile away near the north fence of the reserve. Hopefully these will prosper and multiply.
