This weekend Wingsprings hosted its first cold-season workshop. It was for Teach For America. A good group of dedicated individuals were in residence from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon: Olivia, Abe, Anna, Christopher, Natalie, Presence, Grace, Kristen, and Mary (r-l). This photo was taken after the group completed an allotment exercise that required them to walk nearly two miles. Though not in the picture, Corey and Nick worked hard in preparation for the workshop: they installed baseboard heaters in the cabins, and updated and slightly remodeled the bathrooms. In the kitchen, Olivia and Abe baked bread, made homemade ice cream, and cooked delicious meals. Nevertheless, we missed Mom because this was the first multi-day workshop that she could not attend.
