Monday, Mar 17 to Sunday, Mar 23, 2014: high 67, low 7

From the archives: two years ago today, Sunday the 23rd of March. This is the Turtle Pond, with the cockpit of the house just visible above the horizon. In the forewater is a turtle shell floating upside down. Surrounding the pond are the grass colors of early spring. Soon they will yield to the numerous shades of late spring green. For now, and as it was two years ago, the landscape is draped in muted earth tones that suggest yet another tough winter has been survived.
