Students and faculty from the Department of Architecture at South Dakota State University spent the weekend here at Wingsprings. Saturday afternoon they walked all the trails–and even off the trails, as in the photo above. After their walk, they found a few wood ticks on their clothes and bodies. That was pretty exciting! They also brought rocks to add to the cairn up near the gate along 226th Avenue. Here below is a better picture of the group (r-l): Garrett, Jacob, Federico, Jessica, Bobbie, and Emily. So when you come visit Wingsprings, remember to bring a rock (the bigger the better) to add to the cairn.
