A painted turtle came up from the springs Thursday afternoon. Perhaps to lay her eggs? If so, she didn’t do so while we watched. And speaking of watching, in the window you can see Abe. Though the photo may suggest otherwise, he is not a scary man. This turtle is scoping out the house two weeks earlier than the one we saw last year (see Oko 17, 2013).
