A group of 4th-graders from Crazy Horse School visited Wingsprings Wednesday morning for a couple hours. They brought rocks and put them on the cairn. After doing an activity exploring triangles, they reboarded their bus for a short jaunt to where they got back off the bus and walked on the Wingsprings west-east axis to the east ridge. There we had the survey instrument set up so they could look through it and see that the instrument, the house and the Butte are all on the Wingsprings west-east axis. Then they reboarded the bus and came to the headquarters, and walked down to the wicoti where Tyler talked about the Oceti Sakowin oyates, which he is doing in the picture above.
