Monday, Dec 25 to Sunday, Dec 31, 2017: high 27, low -15
Early this Wednesday morning the temperature dipped to 15 degrees below zero! When this photo was taken around 1 o’clock in the afternoon, it had warmed all the way to 14 degrees above zero. In the picture, Francie and Andrea (r-l) are burying the beautiful quilt they sewed. They will excavate it this spring and display it in the Takuwe exhibit that CAIRNS is developing. The earth was so frozen that the bobcat had to be used to dig the rectangular area within which the quilt was buried.
