This evening was the first harvest from the garden. Lots of beans, a number of peppers, and a couple carrots that are still too small. Can’t see it in the cropped photo, but the setting sun was a dull red due to the thick haze of smoke in the air these past few days. Fires. From the Black Hills and as far away as Montana. There is a faint whiff of smoke smell in the air too.
