Sunset sauna on Monday; the photo was taken at 5:54 PM.  Monday was also one of the two annual Wingsprings Sunrise Days. These are the days when the sun rises on the Wingsprings west-east axis, which results in the cockpit—at sunrise—casting a shadow on the sloping hillside on the west side of the springs that points directly to the Butte beyond. If you look closely, you can see the Butte in the photo above, on the horizon line just to the left of the door. Through the window of the door you can see the small solar panel that powers the LED lights fastened to the lower edge of the fascia board. You can see them above the door.
