Merle called Monday morning to say they were turning heifers into the pasture, so i went down along the south fence of the Natural Library/Sanctuary to see about a tree that looked like it might have fallen onto the wires. Come to find out, there were three trees that had so fallen. Two are in the foreground above, but if you look closely in the background you can see a broken limb barely connected to a tree. The rest of that limb had fallen across the wire down there. Thank goodness for the chain saw! After cutting the limb off the wire down by the gate, i came here and cut these off of the fence wires, as you can see in the pic below. Monday was a damp drizzly day, but that doesn’t show up in these photos.
