The day after Thanksgiving i worked on unloading the new autogate from the trailer and putting it into the road. It took me most of the day. In the picture above, i’m placing railroad ties in such a way that i can pull the autogate backward off the trailer without bending the wheel wells or rail around the trailer bedd. Prior to this, i used the backhoe attachment to cut a “slot” in the existing road. You can see it in the foreground. The autogate was loaded upsidedown onto the trailer (those two long tubes of steel are what holds the top of the autogate 24” above the ground). After pulling it off, the autogate needed to be flipped over and then manuevered into the slot in the road. Just before dark it was in place.
