This picture was taken Monday evening, about a quarter after 7, looking west. At the bottom-right-center, protruding above the distant horizon line, is the Wingsprings cockpit with its steep roof. And if you look closely, to the right of the roof is Bear In The Lodge Butte, about two and a half miles to the west. Knowing the spatial relationship between the Butte and the Wingsprings facilities, we know that this photo was taken at a point north of the Wingsprings west-east axis, which runs from the Butte through the center of the cockpit roof.
