It snowed all day Wednesday, so Thursday morning Turtle Pond was frozen over with a thin layer of clear ice. Could see turtles in the water beneath the ice. Lots of snow and some very interesting tracks. Later on Thursday afternoon the ice on Turtle Pond melted away and i set up the second trail camera along the bank of the pond. Aimed it somewhat at one of the intriguing holes or burrows that are just above the waterline and faces southwest. The camera is fastened to a steel post, as you can see in the photo above that was taken around a quarter to five just after installation. The clouds are creating a fascinating pattern on the water. The view is almost straight south, up the draw.
