Saturday afternoon and evening a couple heavy rain storms passed nearby, but dropped only four-hundredths of an inch of moisture. One of them produced this fleeting double rainbow that was so short-lived that i only got one picture of it. As is suggested in the coloring of the landscape, we are really dry out here. Much of the grass has turned; there is barely a hint of green once you get away from the draws and from along the springs.
