Monday was exciting here at Wingsprings! A film crew comprised of staff from six states were here to conduct interviews with two leading Native intellectuals and activists. The film crew, standing from Right to Left, included Sunil, Dylan, Phil, Benjamin, Kevin, Kyle and Phillip. In front, on the Right is Laura from the film crew, and Katrina who was volunteering at Wingsprings for five days. The interviewees were Nick Estes and Candi Brings Plenty, who was accompanied by her daughters Helina and Breana. Mom was also here this week, but is not in the photo. The crew was here from 10 to 8:30. They converted the main area of the house into a film studio with shades, screens, lighting, cameras, recorders, microphones and what looked like miles of cords and cables. It was amazing. And Mom fed us all.
