Tuesday was a beautiful day weather-wise. After lunch i weed whipped around the autogate just beyond where the road goes over the ridge in the background of the photo above. In the foreground is the cairn that visitors are encouraged to add a rock to whenever they visit Wingsprings. This is the first time i’ve weed whipped around it. Afterwards, i put the rocks that had rolled down and settled around the cairn back on the top of the cairn. Then the idea came to do these two tasks—mowing and restacking—annually on Mom’s birthday, June 16. Am also thinking that a semi-circular mowed walkway connecting the road to the cairn would be nice, so will try to add that feature soon. Happy 88th birthday, Mom!
